These applications differ from the other visa applications in that they are issued to the SA employer and include individual entry authorizations for each position approved. The company will select the candidate to fill the position, supply that person with the necessary individual authorization to enter SA. Once in SA the company will furnish the applicants person details to the Department of Home Affairs.  Applications will include an initial submission to the Department of Labour (DOL) for their evaluation and inspection. These DOL submissions must include detailed proof of a diligent search made by prospective employers to employ SA citizens and Permanent residence holders and reasons for not employing local staff, advertisements, and details of the positions to be filled, salary and benefits etc. As part of the process, DOL will also inspect the prospective employer’s premises to determine whether the company meets all basic conditions of employment legislation. No change of condition can be applied for whilst the selected applicant is in SA.
